The Path of Rest
Scripture:
This is what the Lord says, “Stand at the crossroads and look;ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls” –
Jeremiah 6:16
Encouragement:
There are so many times we are going along on our journey of life and we don’t know
what to do. We stand at a crossroads and wonder which way to go. When this happens,
remember that God has made the way plain and clear. He says that there is an ancient
path. A way that has already been paved for you. A way that has been tested and tried.
He wants you to look. Wait and look again at the direction you should go. Then ask Him
which way Lord? Ask Him for the good way, the way of direction and peace. When you
do, rest for your soul (your mind, will & emotions) will come. Rest will wash over you
and guide you in your life.
Never be discouraged because there is a way that should go that rest will be your
companion and friend.
Pray:
Lord, thank you for a way and a path in life that brings rest to life. Rest to our minds.
Thank you for always planning out a way before us that is sure and steady. Thank you
for being the God of rest today. In Jesus name, Amen.
