Spread the love

The Church has fallen far from the Father when “pastors” and false prophets convince hundreds of thousands to give them huge amounts of money. These misled people are conned into giving far more than they can afford. Is it for God’s work? No. It is for the Devil!

Worldly prosperity preachers exploit their flocks to hoard their treasures here on earth, which goes directly against what the Bible says in Matthew 6:19-21 “19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

These heretical false teachers preach the prosperity gospel. What is the prosperity gospel? It is the idea that God is a cosmic vending machine where if you give enough “Seed Money” God must give you worldly prosperity. If you ever hear a preacher use the term “Seed Money” run. This is a false teacher.

One of the most egregious examples of fraudulent teachers is Bishop Marvin Sapp. The Bible in 2nd Peter 2:1 states “But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies.”

I can think of few glaring examples of this prosperity heresy than Bishop Marvin Sapp. He demanded that the ushers shut the doors and that they would all leave when they all gave a “seed” of 20 dollars demanding a total of 40000 dollars before they could leave.

But don’t take my word for it. Let’s listen to one of these false teachers speak for himself.

False teachers will suffer the wrath of God. In 2 Peter 2:12 “But these false teachers speak against things that they do not understand. They are like wild animals. Their minds cannot think properly. They only do what their nature causes them to do. Wild animals are born so that people can catch them and kill them. In the same way, God will destroy the false teachers.”

The lesson is always to test the spirit and see if he speaks for God or the world.

Until next time, courage.
